Description
This 500 ml wide mouth jar holds half a liter in Miron violet glass. The black screw lid seals it, and the wide mouth makes it easy to fill from a melting pot or to scoop out a butter at room temperature.

Why violet glass
Miron glass is a dark violet glass. It blocks nearly all visible light and lets through only violet light, so the contents sit in near darkness even on an open shelf. Glass does not react with oils or absorb smells, and it washes clean for the next batch.
What fits in a 500 ml jar
- Large batches of body butter or balm base
- Oil infusions with dried herbs, kept out of the light
- Bath salts or clays bought by the kilo
- Refill stock for smaller jars
Half a liter is the middle of the range: big enough to hold stock for refilling 50 and 100 ml jars, small enough to keep on a shelf.
Filling and care
Wash by hand in warm soapy water, rinse and let it dry fully before refilling. The colour is in the glass itself and does not wash off. Label the contents and the date, since you cannot see through the glass.
