Inside Our
Sourcing

From their origins to your hands.

Most of what we sell begins far from any factory: wild palms in the Mosquitia of Honduras, babassu groves in Maranhão, flooded forest along the rivers of Pará. We work directly with trusted farmers and cooperatives in these regions, and the oils are pressed close to where they grow.

Origins

Where They Grow

Honduras, Jamaica and Brazil supply some of our most requested oils. The ingredient library covers the rest, with the origin, harvest and extraction of each botanical.

The harvest

Who Gathers Them

La Mosquitia, Honduras

Batana & Ojon oil

Miskito and Tawahka families reach wild palm stands by canoe along rivers and lagoons and cut the ripe fruit bunches. The fruit is boiled, the nuts dried and cracked by hand, and the kernels pressed for oil. Our Batana is 100% pure and cold-pressed.

Maranhão and Piauí, Brazil

Babassu oil

Babassu is gathered mainly by the quebradeiras de coco babaçu, the women coconut breakers, who collect fallen fruit from wild palm groves in the second half of the year. Each hard nut is split with an axe blade and a wooden club, and the kernels go to local cooperatives and mills for pressing.

Pará and Amazonas, Brazil

Andiroba oil

Riverside families pick up fallen andiroba seeds along forest trails or scoop them from flooded forest during the rainy season, roughly January to June. The seeds are washed, sorted and dried before pressing by local buyers or community presses.

Our process

From Harvest to Bottle

Gathered by hand. Pressed simply. Described honestly.

We keep processing close to what each botanical needs: cold or expeller pressing for carrier oils like Batana and Babassu, steam distillation for essential oils. Every batch is tested for purity and safety before it ships, and every ingredient page explains the natural colour, aroma and texture to expect, because raw oils vary from batch to batch.
