Miron Violet Glass Oil Bottles
These square Miron violet glass oil bottles come in 250ml and 750ml sizes for carrier oils, infused oils, tinctures and hair oil blends. Miron glass is made to block most visible light, which helps light-sensitive oils keep their colour and scent for longer.
The square shape stores neatly on a shelf and is easy to grip when pouring. Use the 250ml size for a daily body or hair oil and the 750ml size to decant oils bought by the litre. Glass is non-reactive, easy to clean and reusable.
Fill them with our carrier oils, or see mini bottles for smaller amounts.
Using Square Violet Glass Oil Bottles
250ml or 750ml
The 250ml bottle suits a daily body oil, hair oil or a working supply of carrier oil on the bathroom shelf. The 750ml size is for decanting oils bought by the litre and for larger batches of infused oil.
Decanting bulk oil
Pour through a funnel and leave a little space below the neck. Moving oil from a large container into a smaller bottle as you need it means the main supply is opened less often, which helps it stay fresh.
Making infused oils
For a herb-infused oil, fill the bottle loosely with fully dried herbs and cover them with a carrier oil such as jojoba. Leave it to infuse for a few weeks, then strain. Using dried rather than fresh plant material keeps water out of the oil.
Care
Wipe the neck after each pour so oil does not collect under the cap. Wash in warm soapy water and dry completely before refilling.

250ml and 750ml.
Can I store essential oils in these?
They are sized for carrier oils and blends. For essential oils, our smaller mini bottles are a better fit.
Why use violet glass for oils?

How do I clean an oily bottle?
Shake it with warm soapy water, rinse several times and let it dry fully upside down.
