Description
Black castor oil is made the traditional way. Castor seeds are roasted, ground and slowly boiled with water, and the oil that rises is skimmed off, pressed and filtered. The roasting gives the oil its dark colour and smoky, roasted scent, which sets it apart from clear, cold-pressed castor oil. Because of the boiling step it is also sold as boiled castor oil. Ours is handmade in South America from 100% castor seeds, without solvents or refining. It is thick and rich, and it is used on the scalp, through the hair and on brows, lashes and dry skin to condition and soften.

How to use
- Scalp: part the hair and massage a few drops into the scalp, leave for 30 minutes or overnight, then shampoo.
- Ends and brows: smooth a small amount over dry ends, brows or lash line, avoiding the eyes.
- Blends: mix with a lighter oil such as jojoba to make it easier to spread.
Patch test on the inner arm before first use. Keep away from the eyes. Store somewhere cool and dark with the cap closed. Do not take by mouth.
