Natural Body Care

Our natural body care collection covers products for skin from the neck down: exfoliating scrubs, a light plant oil for after the shower and an essential oil for your own body blends.

The Barbary Fig and Rosehip Face and Body Scrubs smooth dry skin on arms, legs and feet and leave a light film of plant oil. Passion fruit seed oil, also called maracuja oil, is a light, quick-absorbing oil for massage and daily moisturising. Bergamot essential oil is cold-expressed from the peel of bergamot oranges, typically grown in Calabria in southern Italy, and adds a fresh citrus scent to a diluted body oil. For bergamot, follow the exact product’s dilution and sun-exposure restrictions; evening use alone is not a complete safety instruction.

Building a Simple Body Care Routine

Exfoliate once or twice a week

Use a face and body scrub on damp skin in the shower, working in small circles over arms, legs, elbows and feet. Rinse with warm water. The plant oil in the scrub leaves a light film behind, so many people skip lotion on scrub days.

Seal in moisture with an oil

After showering, pat skin almost dry and apply a light oil such as passion fruit seed oil while the skin is still damp. A little goes a long way: a teaspoon covers both legs. For very dry areas, follow with a rich body butter.

Add scent with care

To make a scented body oil, add bergamot essential oil at about 2%, roughly 2 drops per teaspoon of passion fruit seed oil. Bergamot can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so use bergamot blends in the evening or on skin that stays covered.

Body Care FAQs

How often should I use a body scrub?

Once or twice a week suits most skin. Skip broken or irritated areas.

Should I apply oil to wet or dry skin?

Slightly damp skin is best. The oil spreads more easily and you need less of it.

What is maracuja oil?

Maracuja is another name for passion fruit seed oil. It is a light, quick-absorbing oil pressed from the seeds of the passion fruit.

Can I mix my own body oil?

Yes. Start with a light carrier oil, add a few drops of an essential oil for scent, and store it in a dark glass bottle.
