Botanical Powders: Yuzu Peel Powder
Our botanical powders are dried, milled plant parts for bath, body and soap recipes. Yuzu peel powder is made from the thick rind of Citrus junos, a small, cold-hardy citrus grown in Japan, mainly in Kochi Prefecture, and in South Korea.
The fruit is harvested in autumn and early winter, and the peel is dried and ground to a fine powder with a tart, floral citrus scent. Stir it into bath soaks and salts, clay masks, sugar scrubs or cold process soap for colour and scent. It comes in 4oz and 16oz sizes.

Using Yuzu Peel Powder
What it is
Yuzu is a small, thorny, cold-hardy citrus grown in Japan for over a thousand years, mainly in Kochi Prefecture, and in South Korea. The thick rind is dried and milled into a fine powder with a tart, floral citrus scent.
In the bath
Stir a tablespoon into a jar of bath salts, or tie a spoonful into a muslin bag and drop it into warm bath water. In Japan, whole yuzu fruit are floated in the bath around the winter solstice.
In masks, scrubs and soap
Add a teaspoon to a clay mask or sugar scrub for scent and a soft yellow colour. Soap makers add it at trace in cold process soap for natural colour and specks.
Storage
Keep the powder sealed in a cool, dry place. Moisture makes powders clump and fades the citrus scent, so always use a dry spoon.
