Where Acai Berry comes from
Acai (Euterpe oleracea) is a small, dark purple berry that grows in clusters on palm trees in the Amazon rainforest. The berries are harvested and processed into pulp soon after picking.
The oil is extracted from the pulp and has a distinctive deep green colour. It contains fatty acids, vitamin E and plant pigments called anthocyanins, and is used in skin care for its nourishing, moisturising feel.
How to use Acai Berry
- Start with a few drops and warm them between your palms.
- Massage into clean skin, or work through the lengths of damp or dry hair.
- Use on its own, or add a few drops to your moisturizer or conditioner.
For external use only. Patch test on a small area before first use and stop if irritation occurs. If you are pregnant, nursing or have a medical condition, ask a healthcare professional before use.
