Licuri Oil
Common English Name: Licuri.
Botanical Name: Syagrus coronata.
Plant Family: Arecaceae.
Method of Extraction: Cold pressing of the kernels.
Origin: Brazil (Cerrado).
Plant Description: A tall species of palm tree common to Brazil. It has bright yellow flowers and produces abundant fruit.
Main Chemical Components: High in fatty acids: lauric acid, myristic acid, oleic acid.
Blends Well With: Other carrier oils; essential oils.
Uses: Dry skin, dry hair, mature skin, damaged hair, flaky scalp, damaged nails.
Fun Fact: Licuri oil is similar in chemical make-up (and uses) to coconut oil.
