Common English Name: Jojoba.
Botanical Name: Simmondsia chinensis.
Plant Family: Simmondsiaceae.
Method of Extraction: Cold pressing of the seeds.
Origin: South Western North America.
Plant Description: A shrub with oval leaves and small yellow/green flowers. It can grow up to 3m (9ft) high.
Main Chemical Components: High in fatty acids: especially 11-eicosenoic acid (Gondoic Acid).
Blends Well With: Other carrier oils; essential oils.
Uses: Dry skin, dry hair, mature skin, damaged hair.
Fun Fact: Jojoba Oil may be used as a biodiesel.
